London’s victims and witnesses need a voice to champion their interests in all areas of the criminal justice system.
Victim Support London represents the needs of victims and witnesses in the following ways:
- Sharing innovation, new legislation and new examples of good practice via newsletters, conferences and seminars
- Representing victim and witness interests on London Criminal Justice bodies and in other relevant forums
- Encouraging public debate through the broadcast and print media
- Researching the effectiveness of alternatives to the retributive system of criminal justice
- Listening to our frontline staff and volunteers and learning from them in order to improve and develop our services
