Crimestoppers
Crimestoppers is an independent charity operating the freephone 0800 555 111 helping prevent and solve crimes. The scheme allows you to give information about crimes that affect you and your local community. Crimestoppers is anonymous, meaning that they will not need your name or address. Your calls are not traced and you will never have to give a statement or go to court.

Ring anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you have any information relating to any crime, anywhere in the UK.

Third party reporting
There are many reasons that might prevent or deter people from reporting crimes or incidents to the police. Third party reporting allows you report crimes at locations other than police stations. These locations might include local community or voluntary organisations, housing associations, youth centres, Victim Support Schemes or even online.

People who have been victims of 'hate crimes' - crimes or incidents relating to homophobia, domestic violence, sexual offences, faith, race or disability - may find it particularly difficult to report a crime. Third party reporting encourages victims to report hate crimes by providing support to the victim through a partnership of relevant specialist agencies. The safety and well being of the victim is always the top priority.

To find out more about your local third party reporting sites, please contact your local Victim Support scheme
